Pierre Bergian

Pierre Bergian (Bruges, Belgium, b. 1965) explores the essence of space, depicting architectural interiors with an expressive line that renders them out of time. Bergian lives and works in Bruges, where he continues to be fascinated by the many historic, abandoned buildings there. The artist studied art history and archaeology at the University of Ghent and has exhibited internationally, including at Purdy Hicks Gallery, London; Galerie Laurent de Puybaudet, Paris; Galerie Josine Bokhoven, Amsterdam; and Gerald Bland, New York. His work is conserved in the permanent collection of the British Museum.
