A Chinese Chippendale Style Black and Gilt-Japanned Tea Table

The rectangular top with rounded corners gilt-decorated with two seated figures and an attendant in a landscape under an elaborately leafed tree, beside a pair of pheasants by a river, over a plain frieze, and four cluster column legs with gilt detailing, joined by an arched x-form stretcher.
