Chinese Export Black Lacquer, Gilt, and Mother of Pearl Center Table

Very fine example of Chinese Export furniture made for the English market during the Regency period and the epitome of Brighton Pavilion taste. The round tilt-top elaborately decorated with Court figures in multiple pagoda settings along riverbanks, incorporating inlaid abalone and incised foliage; raised on a ring-turned support issuing three down swept legs embellished with gilt trelliswork.
