Georgian Style Mahogany Tea Table

20th Century

Finely carved throughout with open and blind fretwork; the rectangular top with gallery over a frieze raised on carved chamfered legs ending in block feet and joined by an arched X-form stretched centered by a turned finial. The designs for this table can be seen in Chippendale's Director and was called a silver table after the silver tea service that would grace its top.
