Large Staffordshire Blue & White Transferware Platter of Raby Castle
Circa 1820
By John and William Ridgway of Cauldon Works Staffordshire from the engraving of Raby Castle, County Durham, by W. Angus. Home of the Nevill family, Earls of Westmoreland, the castle was the birthplace of Cecily Nevill, Duchess of York and mother of both Edward IV and Richard III. With plate rack used by Mario Buatta to hang on his dining room wall.
