A hand-constructed rectangular box with a pyramid capital atop the stepped, removable lid. The entire box sits on a plinth and is wrapped in white, citrus orange, and taupe porphyry-inspired, hand-painted paper. The lid can be removed to reveal and interior painted gray.

Thomas Engelhart (American, 1972–) is an artist living and working in New York City. His boxes and objects are explorations of color, pattern and form. The papers are hand painted in studio before being applied to the hand constructed boxes. Each piece is truly unique.
