An oversized obelisk standing over five and a half feet tall, comprised of six boxes that vary in size. The four base boxes are rectangular in form, with a flat base and flat lid for stacking. The fifth smallest box and capital box are multi-sided pieces with flat bases. The capital box ends in a pointed spire. All boxes can be stacked inside one another and stored in the largest piece. All pieces are wrapped in an orange, rose, and white hand-painted, marbleized paper with metallic touches. The interior of the boxes are painted a pale pink.

Thomas Engelhart

Thomas Engelhart (American, 1972–) is an artist living and working in New York City. His boxes and objects are explorations of color, pattern and form. The papers are hand painted in studio before being applied to the hand constructed boxes. Each piece is truly unique.
