Nomi's Needles

Acrylic and shellac based inks on Ingres Paper, with Dutch metal paper accents; book binding board

The artist has stamped his initials 'TE' on the bottom of the obelisk piece.

This pair of monumental obelisks are hand-constructed and created by two components. The base is a lidded columnar box which has a pronounced base and top, as well as a thin shelf running around the perimeter of the base, midway up the section. The top portion is an obelisk form that caps in a gold Dutch metal paper accent. The interior of the base is painted pink.
