This octagonal mirror is hand constructed and covered with two different variations of the artist's hand-painted paper. The second outermost ring and innermost are covered in a white, porphyry-inspired paper with pink accents, while the outermost and second innermost rings are covered in a black and white porphyry-inspired paper. Flecks of gold ink can be found on the paper surface of the mirrors frame. The mirror itself is an onyx mirror. There are two D-rings found on the back for hanging purposes.

Thomas Engelhart (American, 1972–) is an artist living and working in New York City. His boxes and objects are explorations of color, pattern and form. The papers are hand painted in studio before being applied to the hand constructed boxes. Each piece is truly unique.
