Paul Dupré-Lafon

Pair of 1940s French Cerused Oak Commodes Attributed to Paul Dupré-Lafon

The molded rectangular top over three drawers fitted with original bronze square handles; on square tapering legs. The reverse dated 1948 and stamped. These look spectacular in person - the photographs don't capture how attractive the cerused figure of the wood grain is. Provenance: By repute acquired by Garrick Stephenson from Paul Dupré-Lafon.
