A pair of medium-size, hand-constructed obelisks, created by two stacked components. Both pieces are wrapped in a bright pink, orange, and black marbleized, hand-painted paper. The two pieces separate, the bottom portion acting as a columnar box with a removable, flat lid.

Thomas Engelhart (American, 1972–) is an artist living and working in New York City. His boxes and objects are explorations of color, pattern and form. The papers are hand painted in studio before being applied to the hand constructed boxes. Each piece is truly unique.
