A tapered, columnar box that was hand-constructed by the artist. The piece sits on a small plinth and the entire object is wrapped in a black, magenta, and white porphyry-inspire, hand-painted paper with metallic touches. There is a hand-tinted photogravure that sits on the front of the box. The interior of the box is painted black.

Thomas Engelhart (American, 1972–) is an artist living and working in New York City. His boxes and objects are explorations of color, pattern and form. The papers are hand painted in studio before being applied to the hand constructed boxes. Each piece is truly unique.
